Last January our annual Integrated Financial Group (IFG) conference theme was “Next Generation.” Not only did we learn Estate Planning and ideas to help our clients plan for their Next Generation (beneficiaries and heirs) but also how we can develop younger advisors to serve our clients. My colleague, Rich Carver, and I spoke of the Next Generation concept after that conference. We share an enthusiasm for helping clients get their affairs in order with Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, etc. One of the speakers commented that a top reason that an estate plan does not work as expected is a failure to share the plan with the next generation.
That led us to think about our long-term plans as advisors and how we both wanted to add service capabilities for our clients. Eventually these conversations led to us deciding to hire literally the Next Generation in bringing on board Christian Carver. We are very excited to add Christian’s talents and capabilities to our customer services.
That is why I am pleased to share the next phase for Stark Financial Strategies. We decided to borrow the concept from IFG and create an integrated advisory company. Rich and I share a similar desire to provide quality service for our clients, so it made sense to combine those functions. You will not see any major changes right away, but over time we will create a new Stark/Carver website, some new email
addresses, etc.
The best benefit though will be having Christian available to help us help you. He is looking forward to introducing himself to all of you, so don’t be surprised to hear from him as he begins to work on some special projects for us.
