What is Financial Planning?

You hear the term "financial planning" often, but what does it really mean?

When you hire a financial planner what are you getting?

The best way for me to answer this is to describe the way I run my business.

People come to me with questions about their current financial situation. For example: they are not sure if they are on track for retirement or want a second opinion on their investment choices.

For some people it is their first time talking money and finances with a professional. Others have had multiple advisors, accountants, and insurance agents and just need someone to pull it all together and make sense of it all.

The first step is where I gather information and ask questions to determine where you are today and where you want to be in the future.

Then I put my economics degree, financial planning education, and years of experience as a financial adviser to work and come up with suggestions on how to get from point A to point B.

Once we settle on the plan, we then put it into action. I help to open accounts, manage investments, find the right insurance, and monitor and review on a regular basis.

So rather than wondering about financial planning, contact me and experience it yourself.
